The NH Avalanche took the Mass/NH area by storm last year as the first year member of the EHL won the championship and even more impressive they placed 19 players to NCAA college hockey. With a nice on ice facility a brand new dressing room including a player changing room and a nice work out facility the NH Avalanche quickly became a place that inspiring NCAA student athletes wanted to be.  It became a place where junior hockey players wanted to come to develop and prepare on and off the ice for the demands of college life both academically and athletically.  Now in year two the Avalanche are continuing their success as they have clinched a first round bye in this seasons playoffs, the team is currently 31-5 and they boast a league leading 12 NCAA college commitments with more to be announced.  The success is something to be very proud of and veteran Head Coach Chris Cerrella is very happy about the direction of his junior hockey team that plays out of the Ice Den Arena.  "We have a mission every year we expect players to come to us prepared to compete and be good citizens around our rink and community.  We have been fortunate two years in a row to have a group of young men that are all about success and all about getting to the college hockey level both on the ice and in the classroom.  We have an owner who cares about his product, Mario Martiniello puts a lot into the team and the results have been great both in the standings and on our college hockey commitment list.  I could not be happier with the results that we have had so far and I can just see things continuing to grow.  I like our league and I like our organizations mission statement I think its a recipe for continued success," said Cerrella.  With 9 games left in the regular season Cerrella and staff have one thing left on their mind, returning to Providence College for the EHL Final Four.
