The NH Avalanche of the EHL is proud to announce that power forward Cam Weitman has chosen Albertus Magnus College to continue his athletic and academic career.  Albertus Magnus is located in New Haven, CT and will be entering their first season season of NCAA Div 3 College Hockey during the 2019-20 season.  The team has hired Head Coach Kyle Wallack as bench boss, Wallack brings 19 seasons of Div I college hockey coaching to the Falcons locker room. Weitzman is in his first season with the Avs and in the EHL after spending last season at Tilton Prep.  After a slow start to the season the power forward now has 16pts in 16gp and has seemed to hit his stride playing in all situations for Coach Cerrella and the Avs.  "I am very excited for Cam he wanted to get to college hockey after just one season of Junior hockey and he was able to do that here with us.  I think his game has really matured and he is only going to get better as he gets older.  I am very happy for Cam and his family and I wish him nothing but the best.  He is going to be a good addition to the Albertus Magnus hockey and academic community.  I spoke to Coach Wallack a lot about Cam and he is very excited that Cam has chosen to continue his career on and off the ice at Albertus," said Chris Cerrella.  The Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec native came to the NH Avalanche to fulfill his dream of becoming an NCAA student athlete and he has finally reached that goal.  "I am so proud to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Albertus Magnus College.  I want to thank Coach McQuade at Tilton Prep for helping me develop at Prep School last year.  I want to thank Coach Cerrella and the NH Avalanche program for working with me this season and preparing me for the college hockey level.  I want to send a special thank you to my parents for always being there for me and helping make this a reality for me.  I am very excited about the opportunity that Coach Wallack and Albertus Magnus College has given me and I can not wait to be part of something so exciting," said Weitzman.  This is the EHL  league leading 10th Ncaa College commitment for the NH Avalanche and stay tuned as there is more announcements coming.
