The NH Avalanche in the Eastern Hockey League is proud to announce that defenseman Jake Pasquini has decided to continue his academic and athletic career at SUNY Canton for the 2020-21 season.  This means that Pasquini will return to the Avs for one more season of development in the EHL.  The Roos play their home games at their on campus arena the Roos House and they are coached by Head Coach Alex Boak and Assistant Coach Vinny Pietrangelo.  Pasquini is in his first season with the Avs after playing U18 for the CP Dynamo who do a great job at helping their players move on to the Junior Hockey level.  In his first 20 games for the Avs the first year d-man has played in 16 games contributing 13pts and has been a main stay on the back end for the Avalanche so far this season.  "Jake started out the gates a little so as he adjusted to the EHL level.  Now he is in my opinion one of the best all around dman in the league.  He is very smart with decisions, moves the puck very well and is very solid defensively.  Being able to play one more year for us will only make him bigger and stronger as he prepares for Div III college hockey with SUNY Canton.  I am very excited for him and think this is a great opportunity for Jake and his family, I wish him nothing but the best he is going to be a very good college hockey player," said Cerrella.  The Albany, NY native is very excited about the next steps in his development and is excited about heading to SUNY Canton in the future.   "I am very thrilled to be joining Suny Canton in the fall of 2020-21.  Suny Canton felt like a great fit for me in the classroom and on the ice.  I want to thank Coach Cerrella for believing in me and helping me reach my goal in playing college hockey.  I was to especially thank my family for all of their help and support over the years.  I want to thank all my team-mates for their continued support over the years.  I am very excited to be joining SUNY Canton in the future," said Pasquini.  With the 18-19 EHL season closing in on the half way point the Avs will be relying more and more on Pasquini to help the Avs reach the EHL Final Four.
