The NH Avalanche boarded the bus this past weekend to head on the road for a three game weekend.  After dropping two games in the EHL Showcase the Avalanche team and staff knew this weekend was big even know it was early in the season.  "We needed to get back on track and find ways to win, I think we were playing good hockey but could not find ways to win.  We focused on competition in practice, we made all our drills offense versus defense.  It helped our mind set a bit after losing two and I think made us realize it does not matter how well we did last season this is a new season. We have to be hungry every practice, shift and game," said Chris Cerrella.  Game one in Norwalk the Avs took on the 3-0-2 CT Rough Riders.  The Avs got on the board early and did not look back as forwards Tim Cronin and Jake Adkins had 3pts a piece and dman Kyler Harding added 3pts as well.  Goalie Kyle Konin got the win as the Avs skated off the ice with an 8-3 win.  Game 2 the Avs headed to Brewster, NY to take on the NY Apple Core.   The game was high paced with back and fourth action including big saves at both ends of the ice the two teams could not decide this in regulation.  But it was the Avs who found a way to break the tie in OT with a huge goal by forward Jake Adkins to give his team the 3-2 win.  Forward Wiggle Kerbrat 2 assists on the day and Kyle Konin made 25 saves to secure the teams second win on the road 3-2 in OT.  The last game of the weekend the Avs traveled to Newington CT to take on the new EHL team the CT Chiefs. The Avs once again got after the Chiefs early and often scoring five goals in the first period.  The Avs continued to go hard for the remaining two periods sending 56 shots to help the Avs climb to a 10-3 victory and earn 6 points on the road.  Forward Wiggle Kerbrat added four points on the day and  Matt Gagnon, Jake Adkins and Matt Kassab all added 3 points each.  Dman Kyler Harding added another 3 points to cap off a great weekend and rookie goalie Andrew LoRusso got the win.  The EHL Avalanche return home for three home games this weekend, come down to the Ice Den Arena to check out the action.
