With under a minute to play in the EHL Championship game the Avalanche called a time out to get their team prepared as they held a 3-2 lead.  The staff put out their 5 players they thought gave them the best effort in the defensive end to seal the victory.  One of those players was first year forward Matt Kassab.  His play and work ethic in the regular season and through the playoffs solidified one thing, being named Captain of the 2018-19 season.  "Matt did a great job for us this season.  It took him a little to adjust but he came back from holiday break and he figured it out.  He was one of our better 200ft players by the end of the season, he did the little things and lead by example.  We are very excited to have Matt leading the way for us next season it was well deserved," said Chris Cerrella.  Kassab had 17pts in 33 games for the Avs and added 2 more points in 6 playoff games to end the season and is very excited about the opportunity to lead the Avs next season.  "I am very honored and thankful to be chosen to lead this team in the hunt for back to back championships.  I want to thank all the leaders and coaches from last years team I learned a lot of what it takes to be a leader through them and I am ready to take on this responsibility," sand Kassab.  The 17-18 season is over and the 18-19 season has began already in Hooksett, NH and Kassab is prepared for the season to start.
