The NH Avalanche did it!!  In just their first season in the Eastern Hockey League the Jr Avs captured the EHL title with a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Revolution in the final game of the leagues round robin hosted by Providence College.  This season the team finished 39-7-4 and went 5-1 in the EHL playoffs to capture the crown.  Even more impressive the Avs will announce a total of 19 NCAA College commitments which means there will be a lot of holes to fill next season.  That is nothing new for Head Coach Chris Cerrella as he looks back on the season and what lies ahead for the Avs.  "It was a great season for us it was a tough road there is a lot of good teams in the EHL and to be able to get to the dance is a task of its own.  Any team in the playoffs and the Final Four could have raised the trophy we were able to get it done and I could not be more proud of the guys in that locker room.  With 19 NCAA commitments we have some work to do but it is no different than what we did last off season.  I am looking forward to rebuilding this team around some pretty good returners.  I am thrilled about the outcome and wish my college commitments luck but it is now time to focus on next season," said Cerrella.  The Jr Avalanche will take the next two days to do exit interviews with their college bound and returning players as they prepare for the off season.  "I could not be more proud of our staff and the players this was a great first season and we proved that we are the path to college hockey in the area for inspiring college student athletes.  We have the resources that players need to be successful and we are very happy with the way this season ended.  A special thank you to our players and families they were a great group and made it a very special season.  We will take a few days to enjoy the win but we will be focusing on building next seasons team," said Owner Mario Martiniello.  The Jr Avs will be holding their Main Camp April 20-22nd at the Ice Den Arena in Hooksett, NH.  Come down and see if you can the next name on the Jr Avs College Commitment List.
