LECLAIR CHOOSES TUFTS UNIVERSITY

The NH Jr Avalanche EHL team is excited to announce that crafty winger Calvin LeClair has chosen Tufts University to continue his academic and athletic career.  Tufts is a high end academic University located in Boston, Ma and the Jumbos play in the Div III NESCAC hockey conference one of the top Div III hockey conferences in the country.  Tufts play their home games at the Malden Forum and are coached by Head Coach Pat Norton who is in his third season behind the Jumbos bench.  LeClair is one of the most skilled and crafty players in the EHL came to the Avs after playing at Westminster Prep School.  In 32 games this season LeClair is second on the team with 36 points and has been a huge part of the Avs success this season.  "Cal is explosive and skilled, he has a high end hockey IQ and he is going to only get better over four seasons of college hockey.  He had a lot of choices went on a lot of visits and Tufts was his choice and it is a great fit.  His family wanted a combination of athletics and very good academics and he got both with his decision to attend tufts next year.  I am excited to see him play in the future and I think he is going to be very successful on and off the ice.  Cal has been a big part of our offense and we are going to be counting on him down the stretch," said Chris Cerrella.  The Haverford Pa native is excited about the remainder of the season and is excited about the opportunity he has earned to be a student athlete at Tufts.  "I would like to thank my family for all of their support throughout the years I could bot have done it without them.  A thanks to all my Avs teammates and a special thanks to my roommate Ethan Clark for all the help this season.  I would like to thank Coach Cerrella for preparing me for college hockey over the last year as well as a thank you to Coach Martiniello and the Avalanche program, GO JUMBOS," said LeClair.  The speedy forward will be counted on to help the Jr Avs continue their run at being on top of the EHL.
