Hooksett, NH - 11/2/17

The 16U and 18U Full Season team took to the ice this past weekend in the heavily scouted Beantown Showcase.  There were over 200 scouts in attendance ranging from Prep school all the way to the NHL.

16U - The team started the weekend off on the right foot with an 8-2 win over the Elite Hockey Program.  Led by Conner Murray (4 pnts), Baxter Kimball (3 pnts)  and Kyle Dann (3 pnts) the team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.

Saturday saw the team drop 2 close games against the top 2 teams in the ECEL, Newbridge Academy and Hill Academy.  The scores were 3-1 and 3-2 in those contests.

Playoff Sunday saw the team matched up against the Boston Advantage from the Tier 1 Elite League.  The tight checking affair was won late in regulation on a great pass from Shane White to Parker Mabbett for a power play tally.

18U - The team started the weekend off with a tough loss 10-4 to Newbridge Academy.  In impressive fashion, they bounced back the following day for 2 big wins vs the Boston Shamrocks (5-2) and the Seacoast Spartans (4-1).  Led by goals from Colin Kastle (2), Nick Snyder, Finn Bambery and Matt Gagnon as well as a strong performance in net by Connor Laurendeau set the team back on track versus the Shamrocks.

The group followed that up with a 4-1 win over the Seacoast Spartans.  Goals came from Nick Snyder, Ryan Tobeler, Patrick Maloney and Aaron Harmon.  Andrew Lorusso stepped up with a strong performance in net.

The team ended the weekend with a close 2-1 loss to the 95 Giants that could have gone either way.  The 18U have a home and home up next versus the Boston Shamrocks.
