EHL Forward Set to Join Falcons this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- The New Hampshire Avalanche are pleased to announce that Kyle Dann has committed to Albertus Magnus College for the fall of 2023. Dann is a true product of the Avalanche's 'Ladder of Development', working his way up through the program's midget teams all the way to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). To date this season, Dann has tallied 20 points through 15 total EHL games.

"I am very proud of Kyle and his accomplishments," said EHL head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He stayed the course and played U16, U18, EHLP, and EHL, all for us here with the Avalanche. That patience has paid off with this commitment to play NCAA hockey. He is a true competitor and has been great for our program from top to bottom. Coach [Kyle] Wallack is getting a very good player and even a better young man. I couldn’t be happier for Kyle. He is going to be a great addition to the Albertus Magnus community. I wish him and his family nothing but the best of luck in the future."

As Cerrella mentioned, Dann hit four different notches while climbing his way up the ladder, reaching the 'peak' this past season with the EHL team. The talented playmaker has continued to improve as he has moved his way up, capped off by this year's selection to the 2022 EHL All-Star Classic. This past weekend in Worcester, MA, Dann tallied eight points in four total games en route to being named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. The performance served as one final stamp to then make this commitment official.

"I am super excited and honored to announce my commitment to Albertus Magnus College," said Dann. "I want to thank my family, coaches, trainers, and teammates for everything they have done for me. I am thankful for the entire Avalanche program for helping me get to this stage in my academic and athletic career. I am excited to be a Falcon for the next 4 years!"

Dann and the Avalanche are currently on a short break for Thanksgiving. With a record of 16-3-1, New Hampshire is off to one of the best starts in franchise history, and that's saying something for a program that has reached the EHL Frozen Finals in all four editions of the event. Dann and the Avalanche will return to action on Thursday, December 1st, when they play host to the Boston Jr. Rangers at 12:30 pm.
