EHL Forward Set to Join Teammate Next Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- The New Hampshire Avalanche are pleased to announce that Jake Aloi has committed to Post University for the fall of 2022. The '01 native of East Haven, CT came to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) for his first and only season of junior hockey, and in eight total games to date, Aloi has tallied a pair of goals and three assists to his credit.

"Jake is a big, strong, power forward that is only going to improve as he continues to mature his game, both on and off the ice," said EHL head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He is a great young man and will be a good addition to the Post University community. I am looking forward to watching him over the next four years. I wish him and his family the best of luck."

Earlier this season, David Rankin became the first player in Avalanche history to choose the Eagles' hockey program, and now Aloi will enjoy the comfort of already knowing one of his teammates. Aloi is happy to have this weight off of his shoulders, and very grateful to be playing for the Avalanche in his age-out season of junior hockey.

“I am beyond proud to announce my commitment to Post University," said Aloi. "I’m very excited to join the Eagles, both on and off the ice. I would like to thank Coach Cerrella, Coach Vinny, and the rest of the New Hampshire Avalanche for their support in pushing me daily to be the best I can be. I would also like to thank Coach Lou Pane, my family and friends for always supporting me and pushing me to get to the next level. I couldn’t do it without all of you and everyone that has helped me along the way. I'm looking forward to joining the Eagles next season!"

Aloi and the Avalanche have won three straight games, and currently sit in 1st place in the North Division standings. This weekend's schedule includes a pair of teams trying to chase them down, as the Avalanche will travel to take on the Seacoast Spartans on Saturday, and then return home for a matchup with the New England Wolves on Sunday.
