2011 Coach Announcement!

Adam Larrabee joins the Avalanche Organization as head coach of the 2011 team.  Adam is an Avalanche alumni spending time with the team in his youth hockey days.  After 3 successful junior hockey seasons, 2 with the Exeter Seawolves where he lead the IJHL in scoring and his final year playing with the NH JR Monarchs.  Adam committed to UMass Amherst and played half a season there before transferring to UMass Boston to continue his college career.  As the leading scorer of the team in his 2 seasons at UMass Boston, Adam ended up signing a professional contract to play hockey in Finland in his Sophomore year.  Adam began his professional career with the Varkaus Eagles in the Suomi-Sarja playing with them for 2 seasons, also spending some time while in Finland with SaPKo in the Mestis League.  In his final pro season Adam played in the Celtic Cup in Scotland and Ireland for the Dundalk Bulls competing against teams in the English Premier League.  After retiring from hockey Adam started coaching and is passionate about the game.  Adam plans to develop and teach his players through his experiences playing at the top levels in each aspect of hockey.
