EHL Forward Set to Join Rams This Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- The New Hampshire Avalanche are pleased to announce that Kyle Valiquette has committed to Suffolk University for the fall of 2020. The '99 native of Saratoga Springs, NY recently joined the Avalanche after starting the season with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

"Kyle came to us after spending the first half of the season in the NAHL," said EHL head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He has been a good addition to our team, both on and off the ice. He had a lot of options since joining us and decided that Suffolk University was the best fit for him. I think he will be a great addition to the Suffolk academic and athletic community. I wish him the best in his next chapter."

Valiquette has only played in three games since arriving, picking up an assist against the East Coast Wizards back on January 10th. The added depth on offense should only help an Avalanche team that is gearing up to make a run at a 3rd straight EHL Championship. Overall, the veteran forward is happy he came to New Hampshire, and glad to have this weight off of his shoulders.

"Thank you to the New Hampshire Avalanche and Coach Cerrella for the opportunity to join the program and for believing in me," said Valiquette. "Thank you to my family, friends, and teammates who have helped and supported me along the way. I couldn’t be more excited to be a Suffolk Ram for the next 4 years!"

Valiquette and the Avalanche have a pair of games on the schedule this weekend, starting with Military Night on Saturday night when they host the Connecticut Chiefs at 4:20pm. The Avalanche will wear special camo jerseys on Saturday, and all the proceeds from the event will benefit military families.
