EHL Forward Set to Join Falcons this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- The New Hampshire Avalanche are pleased to announce that Cole Archambeault has committed to Fitchburg State University for the fall of 2020. The '99 native of Lunenburg, MA, is in his second season with the Avalanche, and to date, he's tallied 46 total points in 59 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

"I am very excited for Cole as he prepares for the next chapter in his athletic and academic careers," said EHL head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He has really put a lot of time into his game on the ice and in the weight room and it has paid off. He is going to be a great addition to Fitchburg State on the ice, off the ice, and in the academic community. I wish Cole and his family the best in the future."

Even though Archambeault missed a portion of the season due to injury, he's still contributed well offensively when he's been in the lineup. To date this year, the veteran forward has 16 points in 22 total games. Archambeault is ecstatic over his decision, and can't wait to get started this fall.

"I am excited to continue my academic and athletic careers at Fitchburg State University," said Archambeault. "Growing up near Fitchburg I have always been a big fan of their program, and am looking forward to joining the Falcons as a part of their team next year. I’d like to thank my family, teammates, and coaches for their continuous support. A special thanks to Coach Cerrella, Coach Martiniello, and Coach Caliguiri for all they have done for me. I'm extremely happy to be a Falcon for the next four years!"

Archambeault and the Avalanche have 13 games remaining in the regular season, nine of which will take place in the friendly home confines of the Ice Den Arena.
