EHL Veteran Defenseman Set to Join Falcons this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- The New Hampshire Avalanche are pleased to announce that Jake Pasquini has committed to Albertus Magnus College for the fall of 2020. The '99 native of Albany, NY is in his second season with the Avalanche, and to date, he's tallied 19 career points in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

"I am very proud of Jake; he has over come a lot of adversity to get to this point," said EHL head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He has been a very solid piece of our defensive core over the past two years, and I know he is ready for college hockey. I wish him and his family the best of luck in the years to come. I look forward to following him at Albertus in the future."

Pasquini plays more of a stay-at-home style defense, but also jumps up into the play when he has the opportunity. With this weight now off of his shoulders, Pasquini will be able to focus his full attention on continuing to develop throughout the rest of the year.

"I am very thrilled to be continuing my academic and athletic careers at Albertus Magnus College in the fall of 2020," said Pasquini. "I'm very excited to join a young and upcoming hockey team. Albertus felt like a good fit for me in the classroom and on the ice. I want to thank Coach Cerrella for believing in me and helping me reach my goal in playing college hockey. I want to give a special thanks to my family, for all of their help and support over the years. Lastly, I want to thank all my teammates for their continued support over the years of me playing hockey. I am very excited to be joining Albertus Magnus College."

Pasquini and the Avalanche are 2-1-0 in their three games played since returning from the holiday break, but still find themselves right in the thick of things in the New England Conference. The upcoming schedule for the team includes matchups against the Seahawks Hockey Club on Thursday and the Walpole Express on Saturday.
