Another Weekend of Parity in the Books

HOOKSETT, NH -- We can officially cross off another week in the 2019-20 hockey season, as a number of teams continued with parity play. Below you'll find a recaps from a few of the teams in the New Hampshire Avalanche organization.

Full Season Midget Teams

The full season midget teams were loaded with 3 games apiece this past weekend.

The U18 group started off slow with a 5-1 loss to the Northern Cyclones, but bounced back with 2 big wins over the Boston Advantage (6-1) and the Boston Knights (5-2).

The U16 team followed a similar path, dropping their first game 2-0 to the New Hampshire Monarchs, but bounced back with 2 impressive wins over the 95 Giants (4-1) and Boston Knights (4-3).

2007 Elite

The 07 Elites had an over-powering weekend with 4 dominating wins in the second round of parity. Every skater was able to get their name on the scoresheet while going +29 in the 4 games. James Brew pitched two shut-outs thanks in part to some strong defensive play from Hunter Lacroix, Kaden Leahy, Justin Howell, Casey Fuller, and Brady Proulx. The boys looked primed and ready to get this season rolling!

2009 Elite

After another weekend of parity, the 2009 Elite team continued to improve as a group. Although the final scores may have not been in their favor, the boys battled against some of the tougher teams in the BHL. With several injuries and illnesses circling within the team, players had to step up and not only play extra minutes, but in some instances play different positions; all while continuing to battle and put team first. On to the regular season.

2010 Elite

The 2010 Elite team played the Boston Advantage this past Saturday. The Avs fell behind at the start of the game, however, the team put up a good fight and played hard. The Advantage defeated the Avs by the final score of 9-5.

We ended the E9 parity with a loss that day, but we are proud of our team for never giving up. We are eager to start the season and continue working hard to improve as a team.
