It was 'Rivalry Week' for our Full Season Midget Teams, as the U18 team took on the Seacoast Spartans and the U16 team took on both the Seacoast Spartans and the Northern Cyclones.

The U18 group had a hard fought battle with the Spartans ending in a 2-2 tie, led by goals from Yakunin and Baumhover.

The U16 group split their rivalry week dropping a 4-2 decision against the Seacoast Spartans, and defeating the Northern Cyclones 5-1.

Next up for the teams is the Northern Cyclones Showcase in Hudson, and their first game of the season in the United Tier 1 Hockey League against the Boston Knights.

The 2007 Elite team started off a little slow Friday night in parity, with a tough loss to the Americans - highlights of the night go to new Avs player Braden Phemester, who potted a pair of goals with assists to Teddy Hannon. The boys steadily improved throughout the weekend and finished on a high note with stellar goaltending from James Brew, and offensive opportunities aplenty from Aidan Gile, who had his best 2 games of the weekend on Sunday.

The 2009 Elite team split their weekend parity games by going 1-1. They started the weekend with a strong 9-2 win over the NE Edge Elite on Saturday. Backed by solid goaltending and goals from a number of different players, the 09s pulled away with 7 goals in the 3rd period.  Although the team suffered a tough loss to the 95 Giants Elite team on Sunday, the boys continued to battle throughout the game to close out the weekend in strong fashion.

This past weekend the 2010 Elite team participated in parity for the E9 division. Our team played five games in three days - a tough schedule at any age, however our kids were up for the challenge! We came out with two big wins, one very close loss and two other losses, closing out the weekend 2-3. We are very proud of our team’s efforts, even during our most challenging games, we never lost our fight and pushed hard till the end. Our new goalie, Ron Brenner, showed us that all of his hard work and training is paying off. We are grateful for our new alternates, including our alternate goalie, that stepped up and showed us they will be a great asset to our team this season. We improved each game and will continue to improve, as we can already see the strengths of our team vastly accelerating since last season. Big highlights from the weekend include Chase Giampa’s breakaway to score his first goal of his hockey career and the first goal of the weekend, and of course, parking lot cookouts in between games.
