They did it again.  The NH Avalanche EHL team has been crowned an EHL championship title for the second season in a row.  Two Titles in Two Seasons.  Finishing the season with a 39-6 record and going 6-0 in the playoffs is very impressive, even more impressive is what will be a final 16 NCAA college hockey commits that came from the NH Avalanche locker room this season.  In the past two seasons the Avalanche have paved the way on the east coast totaling 35 NCAA commitments in their first two seasons in the EHL.  That is a very impressive number to say the least and it is something that Avs Head Coach Chris Cerrella takes pride in each and every season.  "Why else do you play junior hockey.  To gain the opportunity to play at the NCAA collegiate level and earn a college degree.  We recruit players who all have the same common goal and it has worked out well for us.  We have now totaled 35 NCAA commitments in our first two seasons and that is impressive stuff no matter what your league label is, not many organizations around can say they have reached that goal in just two seasons.  We are very happy with our progress so far and hopefully families out there realize the ultimate goal is college hockey for players who are eligible and need to play junior hockey to develop for a year or two before going to college.  We are very happy about our championships but even happier for our players who are going off to the college hockey level," said Chris Cerrella.  After only returning 5 players from the 2017-18 season the Avs staff began right away recruiting their team for this season and again they put together a hard working group of dedicated young men.  Those same young men skated off the ice with an EHL Championship.  Owner Mario Martiniello is also very happy with the progress of his EHL program.  "I am very proud of what we have accomplished as a program the last two seasons.  None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication from our GM/Head Coach Chris Cerrella and the fine young men we have had come through the program the past two seasons," said Martiniello.  As we look forward to the 2019-20 season the NH Avalanche EHL team is proud to announce that returning forward Chris Aarons has been nominated as the Captain for next season.  In this picture current Captain Matt Kassab is kissing the trophy good bye and is handing over the reigns to team mate Chris Aarons.  As we close the book to 2018-19 what a start already to 2019-20.
