The NH Avalanche showed spirit and fight this weekend at the Manchester Flames Turkey Tournament held at West Side Arena

On day one, the AVs came out on fire for game one, ready to play - flying up and down the ice with 3 quick goals against the Flames. Yet, the Flames proved to be the ones on fire, as they beat the AVs in the end, 7-3.  In game two, the AVs pushed back against the Blackhawks only to be beaten yet again 6-2. Now they've had enough. They wont take anymore...game three is against the Monarchs - the AVs have had enough. They buckled down and finally kicked it in to gear propelling them to a 5-1 victory over the Monarchs. What teamwork!

On to day two, just after Mother Nature tried her might to introduce winter to most of NH, the Avalanche decided to tell her off and show her who's boss. Mother Nature may have knocked out power to most of the state, but the Avalanche came to play today, and knocked out 2 of the 3 teams they faced. What a show! They really brought their "A" game.

In game one, the Avalanche rocketed past the Blackhawks with a 7-2  win. They kept that head of steam and rolled over the Monarchs in an 8-4 victory. And as in all fairy tales, all good things must come to an end...Just like Mother Nature got tired of blowing snow around in NH, the Avalanche succumbed to exhaustion and fell short a few goals to the Flames in a 5-3 loss.

All in all, from the goaltending of Kian O'Leary and Braedyn Sullivan, to the spin-o-rama shots from Jack Crowell, and Greyson Marino's 3 goal weekend, to the awesome Liam Knight Sunday Hat Trick, all the way to Gavin Currier's superstar effort, everyone rocked the West Side Arena.

When it comes to working for the puck, Alex Gamache's hard nosed digging in the corners brings it to the next level. And let's not forget "The Lady Line" of Marissa Lafferty and Alexa Gillis - those two connected on several goals this weekend. What perfect tape to tape passes out front, and a perfect pair of goals to help the AVs finish the weekend strong.

Way to go NH Avalanche!
