The EHL NH Avalanche is proud to announce that gritty forward Jimmy Pollock has become their 15th NCAA College Hockey commitment of the season.  Pollock has chosen to continue his academic and athletic career at Bryn Athyn College next fall.  The Lions went 9-12 on the season in their first season of Div 3 college hockey.  Bryn Athyn is coached by Andrew Burke and the team plays their home games on campus at The Junge Rink.  Pollock played last season in the NA3 for the Cape Cod Islanders before coming to the EHL for more college hockey exposure.   In 30 games this season the speedy forward has 17pts as he battled an injury bug half way through the season and is now finally back healthy looking to help the Avs in the playoff stretch and prepare himself for college hockey.  "Jimmy plays with fire and when he does that he is fun to watch.  He had a rough go with an injury that slowed him down a bit but I think he is ready for the next level.  I think he is going to fit in Bryn Athyns line up nicely next season.  I am very excited for him I think it is a great fit both on the ice and in the classroom," said Chris Cerrella.  With only three regular season games left for the Avs Pollock is going to be looked for his solid play on both sides of the puck.  The Sewell, NJ native is looking forward to the rest of the season in the EHL and preparing for the next chapter in the classroom and on the ice.  "I would like to thank the Avalanche organization, Coach Cerrella and Coach Martiniello for helping me achieve this opportunity.  I would also like to thank my family, friends and teammates for making this all possible.  I am very excited to be heading to Bryn Athyn to continue my academic and hockey career. GO Lions, said Pollock.  This commitment makes number 15 for the EHL NH Avlanche and there is still more college commitment announcements to be announced in the near future.
