The NH Avalanche is proud to announce their 14th NCAA College Commitment of the season.  Dman Kevin Cleary has chosen Framingham State to continue his athletic and academic career.  Framingham plays in the gritty MASCAC Div III college hockey conference and is coached by Head Coach Guy Angers who is in his 7th season behind the bench.  The Rams play their home games at the Loring Arena.  Cleary has been a steady piece on the back end for the Avalanche this season.  With 4pts in 26 games for the Avs the West Chester, Pa native plays a simple and smart game and plays hard in both the DZone and on the offensive blueline.  The Rams will be looking for Cleary to bring his smart defensive play next season to the Mascac.  "Kevin has been solid for us so far this season.  He plays the game according to his strengths he plays smart and simple and does not complicate the game.  He leaves everything on the ice in games and in practices and is going to bring depth to the Rams blueline.  I know he has worked very hard to achieve this goal of playing NCAA college hockey and he has accomplished that and I could not be more happy for him.  I wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future," said Chris Cerrella.  With just three regular season games remaining in his junior hockey career Cleary will look to close this chapter of his career as he prepares for the next chapter in college.  "I can not thank the Avalanche organization enough for the support and opportunity they have given me this season.  Coach Cerrella and Coach Martiniello have helped me mature into a better person on and off the ice.  They run a very high class organization from top to bottom and I could not be happier that I chose to play junior hockey with the Avs.  I would like to thank my entire family for the endless support they have given me throughout the years in order to reach my goal of becoming a student athlete.  I am very excited about joining Framingham next season and can not wait for this new chapter of my life to get started, Go Rams," said Cleary.  The Avs now have 14 NCAA College Hockey commitments with more coming before the season is over.
