The NH Jr Avalanche is proud to announce the Ethan Clark has committed to SUNY Potsdam to continue his athletic and academic career.  Potsdam plays in the SUNYAC Div III Hockey Conference play their games at the on campus Maxcy Hall Arena and is coached by Head Coach Chris Benard who is in his 9th season as bench boss.  Clark will join teammate Ben Thompson next season as well as other former players of NH Avs Head Coach Chris Cerrella at Potdam.  Clark currently sits third on the Avalanche in points with 4g and 17a for 21pts in 26 games and has also made his mark around the league with his physical style of play.  The EHL veteran dman is very excited about his opportunity to play for the Avs and the doors it opened for him next season committing to SUNY Potsdam.  “I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me through my hockey career so far.  I would also like to thank Coach Cerrella for preparing me for college hockey over the past two years and allowing me to grow as a player.  Thanks to Mario Martinello and the Jr Avalanche for giving me all the resources needed to improve as a player and as a person.  I cannot wait to build on the success Potsdam has had this season, GO BEARS!”  said Clark.  The NH Jr Avalanche will continue to look to Clark till seasons end to log a lot of minutes and patrol the blue line, something that will be important to Clarks development going into next season.  “Clarky has been great this season, last year when he played for me he needed time to develop and time to learn the game.  He had a tremendous off season and came in this season with two goals, to be part of a competitive team in the EHL and to commit to college hockey.  He has really improved his game and I think he is going to be a tough guy to play against in the SUNY next season.  He is not only a good hockey player he is an even better young man.  I am very excited for Clarky and excited for Postsdam.  He will be missed and I wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future,” said Chris Cerrella.  With just 6 games remaining before break Clark and the Avalanche look to stay a top playoff seed heading into the Holiday Season.
